The Father of Thai Energy Development

His Majesty the King Bhumibol Adulyadej has addressed his royal initiative on natural energy covering land, water, wind and fire.  His Majesty's devotion to the studies and experiments on various types of alternative energy consumption has been recognized for more than a decade,m which reflects his vision of the development of inclusive energy resources as "holistic approach" that can return to more extensive benefits, and are sources of green energy. This can be exemplified as bioenergy (land) taken from organic compounds of animals and plants that are processed into ethanol and biodiesel production, hydropower for electricity production with a main focus for dams and small power stations, wind power for  water pumping and electrical power, last but not least, solar power from the sun known to be another alternative to generate electrical power.
For his wisdom and ability as well as his insight of energy development o drive our country for the betterment, this set of commemorative stamps is dedicated to His Majesty the King's 88th Birthday Anniversary and to honor His Majesty as "The Father of Thai Energy Development" through the presentation of the portraits of His Majesty with four Royal Projects related to energy development in the background on four stamp designs in the same set.
