The Uniqueness of a Lasting Friendship

Thailand and Israel founded a diplomatic relationship on 12 March, 1954 through a bilateral relationship and a positive cooperation. Currently, about 100,000 visitors from Israel travel to Thailand each year. The number is ranked in the top of visitors from the Middle East, while Thai labor is needed in Israel especially for agriculture, about 26,000 of Thai laborers there.
A collective stamp of both countries, apart from the celebration of the 60th anniversary of diplomati relationship, is distinguished by their country fruits which share the uniqueness of the physical appearance, colour and taste to help represent their close relationship. They are mangosteen or "Queen of Thai fruits" and Israel pomegranate listed as one of "the Seven Wonders" in the bible, a symbol of beauty, properosity and abundance.
