Khon Kaen University is the first university in the northeast of Thailand. It is a gathering place of social thought and wisdom, and the regional center of higher education. This set of stamps celebrate the university's 50 years of devotion to society, with a picture of Kanchanaphisek mulit-purpose conference center. The building is luxurious with the northeastern-style architecture modified  from it original shape It was built by Khon Kaen University on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of His Majesty the King's ascension to the throne.
